A Beautiful Wedding Day For Alexandria + Josh Filled With Grace, Love, & Rain

As a Charlotte wedding photographer, I get to witness so many beautiful wedding days, but some hold a special place in my heart. This wedding at one of my favorite venues with one of my favorite couples was simply amazing — and oh so beautiful.

Everything about the day felt incredibly special. From the thoughtful details to the joy and excitement surrounding the couple, it was a celebration filled with so much love. And then, just minutes before the outdoor ceremony was scheduled to begin, the skies opened up with torrential rain!

Thankfully, the incredible vendor team was ready to make Plan B happen. The ceremony was moved indoors, and thanks to a professional, experienced team — and the support of family and friends — the transition was seamless. What could have felt like a stressful moment instead became just another beautiful part of their wedding story.

One of my favorite things about wedding photography is seeing how much love surrounds a couple on their wedding day. This celebration was especially meaningful to me because I was also surrounded by members of my church family who were there to celebrate alongside them. Being able to document such a significant moment for a couple I love, while also seeing familiar faces from my church family, was truly an honor.

Rain and all, this was an absolutely beautiful wedding day. Sometimes the moments that don't go according to plan become some of the most memorable — and this day was a perfect reminder that a wedding isn't made beautiful by perfect weather or a flawless timeline. It's made beautiful by the people, the love, the faith, and the commitment being celebrated.

As a Charlotte wedding photographer, it is such a privilege to preserve these moments for my couples and give them photographs that allow them to relive not only how their wedding day looked, but how it felt.
