This engagement session with Shelby + Hayden was amaaaaazing. Old Edwards Golf Club holds such special meaning to this couple that it was only fitting that the continuation of their love story be set among the tee boxes, greens, and breathtaking rolling hills. As we drove golf carts chasing the sun, there was an endless supply of laughter, goose bumps (it was cold yes!), and images created that I pray they cherish for a lifetime. It was an honor to be allowed into this exclusive and intimate space with some of the best people I’ve met.
How did you meet? We met on the second day of art class in our freshmen year of college. I sat down in front of him and he started interrupting my conversation with a friend I had just met and it made me giggle. Long story short he got my number and we went hiking, went on study dates, and just had lots of fun together. He also walked me to class every day and always made sure I got places safely.
How did he propose? So for years Hayden always told me to wait till school was over to get engaged and he did just that. Once he was finished walking the stage at graduation, all our family and friends were outside and we went to get a picture together and then he dropped to one knee.
For the Groom | What do you love most about your girl? My favorite thing about Shelby is how deeply she looks into my eyes. I can physically feel her love overflowing my soul.
For the Bride | What do you love most about your guy? I love how he puts me first. In everything. I love that he never lets us leave or go to bed without saying we love each other, even if times get hard. I love how encouraging he is and how he never fails to tell me how proud he is of me. I love how hard-working he is and that when he finds something he loves to do he works so hard to be good at it.
