There’s something special about ending a busy weekend with a family session by the water. After spending two days photographing weddings and logging nearly 18 hours behind the camera, I wrapped up the weekend with this beautiful lakeside family session at Jetton Park.

As a Lake Norman family photographer, sessions like these are the perfect reminder of why I love documenting families in every season of life.

A Family I Was Excited to See Again

I first had the opportunity to photograph this sweet family during my Christmas mini sessions last fall. It’s always such an honor when families invite me back to capture another chapter of their story.

This time, we met at Jetton Park for a golden hour session overlooking Lake Norman, and once again their joy, connection, and love for one another shined through every image. Watching parents interact with their children and simply enjoy time together creates the kind of authentic moments that make family photographs truly meaningful.

Thankfully, with a little strategic positioning, patience, and yes — some Photoshop magic — we were able to create images that feel peaceful, intimate, and completely focused on this beautiful family.
